And it just would not stop
Etching, chine collé and monotype, 2024.
Variable edition of 14.
Printed on Somerset 300gsm paper, and torn to edge.
Print and paper size: 40.0cm x 50.0cm
I made this plate during my residency at Zea Mays Printmaking Workshop in Florence, Massachusetts. There were three days when it just would not stop raining, but they were bliss in the studio, the patter on windows interrupted by rumbles of thunder. It reminded me of London, and home, where only a fool would step out into the day without an umbrella.
Made with lower toxicity methods and materials, this aluminium plate is paired with a monotype plate and chine collé of Takeo Tela ivory paper. Each print is then hand finished by the artist. Expect variation in the small colour elements!
Collection from my studio in SE18 London is possible, please get in touch for this option.
